Amir Khan is still considered one of the highest-paid British boxers of all time, and he has a very impressive net worth – but will soon add to his wealth with a return to the ring.
Amir Khan continues to enjoy a huge net worth even though he hung up his gloves two years ago.
Reports suggest that Khan may be considering coming out of retirement to earn his last big payday in the influencer world. He is one of the highest-earning British boxers ever, first rising to fame by bagging a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics – becoming Britain’s youngest boxing Olympic medalist.
Celebrity Net Worth claims that Khan is still worth $40 million (£31,350,800), even after saying goodbye to the ring in 2022, citing the loss of his “love” for boxing.
Throughout his fighting career, it is estimated that Khan has raked in £65 million, funds which he uses for his Amir Khan Academy in Pakistan – not to mention his own promotion company, Khan Promotions.
Apart from this, the sportsperson also has the Super Fighting League (MMA) and the Indian Super Boxing League. With his abundant wealth, Khan does not hesitate to make luxury investments, from property to luxury vehicles and accessories.
Khan’s car collection includes high-end supercars including a Rolls-Royce Phantom (£233,000), Lamborghini Aventador (£271,000) and Porsche 911 Turbo (£160,000). Property-wise, the retired boxer owns some stunning properties and recently sold his £1.2 million Bolton home to buy a four-bed bungalow in the same area.
Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom has spent £250,000 renovating their bungalow to create the perfect family home, and they even bought a luxury holiday retreat in Dubai. The couple’s new retreat boasts a private pool with views of Dubai’s iconic skyline.
When it comes to personal matters, Amir can’t help but look at flashy watches. He’s been spotted wearing some very expensive watches, including a Richard Mille RM 032 dive watch that could set you back between £95,000 and £111,000, a sleek Cosmograph Daytona Oystersteel (£35,000), and a dazzling diamond-encrusted Rolex worth £72,000 .
The Rolex was stolen from Khand in March 2023, but fortunately, police managed to return it to his wrist the following month. Despite living big, the former boxing champion is looking to return to the ring to add even more to his bank balance by taking on the new kids on the block – KSI and Jake Paul.
BBC Sport reports that the 37-year-old is considering plans to fight on the Misfits card against YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI. Misfits, co-founded by KSI himself, allows social media stars to get ready, as well as seasoned professionals looking to make a comeback or those who have missed the limelight recently.
Khan also does not hesitate to contact potential competitors online. He recently called out KSI and Paul in the X, posting “Be careful what you wish for @KSI @jakepaul” followed by a boxing glove emoji.
Khan will probably make millions of dollars from his upcoming fights, if his previous earnings are anything to go by. The boxer previously earned between £690,000 and £9.4 million per fight – with his last fight against Kell Brook earning him a profit of £5 million despite the loss.
KSI is estimated to have earned between $900,000 (£708K) and $3 million (£2.3 million) from his past fights, including opponents such as Logan Paul, Joe Weller and Tommy Fury.
Jake Paul, meanwhile, pocketed $1.2m (£941K) for his fight against Nate Robinson alone and is expected to earn up to $50m (£39.2m) from his boxing career, according to Diaro AS. This suggests that Khan could benefit greatly from fighting Paul or KSI – whatever the outcome of the match.
Khan also revealed that he is open to facing Jake Paul in the near future if Mike Tyson is unable to fulfill his scheduled match against the former YouTube star. ‘Iron Mike’ was due to face Paul on July 20 in a controversial match, but was postponed indefinitely after Tyson was deemed medically unfit to fight due to a recurrence of his stomach ulcer.
The fight is expected to take place in November, but Khan has said he is willing to replace Tyson, provided Paul drops significant weight. Speaking to Offshore Poker Site, Khan stated: “If the weight is right, I don’t mind giving 20 pounds.
“It depends on the weight because I know Jake has put on a lot of weight to fight Mike. Jake wasn’t usually that big, but he put on a lot of mass, so it was up to him as to whether he was willing to lose it. weight and we found a middle ground somewhere.
“Let’s see, but I haven’t gotten a call on that, so I assume they’re still hoping to fight Mike, he won’t want to take a hit before then. These guys are halfway through training, drinking in camp – they even don’t have camps – they make the sport look bad, so if that means I have to beat KSI, Jake Paul, and his brother Logan to teach them a lesson, I’ll do it.
“To be honest, I don’t think Jake Paul wants anything to do with me. I want to stop these influencer boxing because these people are destroying boxing and until they get a good punch they won’t realize that boxing is boxing. for real fighters who take this sport seriously.”
